Engaged!!!

So much has happened since I last blogged, but the most exciting thing is that I am ENGAGED!!! I got engaged on Friday, Nov. 18th to Wes Swensen! I am so excited for us to start our life together! The plan is to get married on April 27th after school has finished for the semester! Now I just have lots of planning to do! :)

Colorado

At the beginning of November Kylie and I decided to go on a road trip. We went to Colorado and had a blast just shopping and hanging out! It was relaxing and much needed! I love Colorado and cannot wait to go back!

Life Changes

To make a long story short, I did not get into the Special Education program at Utah State. I have been working hard to get into the program, but it was not meant to be. Instead of taking ANOTHER year off of school to apply next October I am making a big life change and transferring to Weber. It will be good for me to move on and make new friends in Ogden. I cannot wait. My first class starts in January, but it is only Saturday mornings so I will continue to live and work here in the valley. I will most likely move down at the end of the summer unless something great comes up down there. The plan is to live with my brother and his wife unless an apartment opportunity comes up. I am excited and think that it will be good for me!

I suck at blogging, but this is what I have been up to as of lately....

I moved to here...

with some amazing new roommates! aka Kylie, Lindsay and Rachel!

I started summer school.

I went to this concert....

I started a second job at Gossners making cheese spreads and Ice Cream while the lady there is on maternity leave!

I watched two of my brothers graduate. Jeff from Law School and Connor from High School! Congrats to them!

The summer has just begun, and I cant wait until the many more adventures I have this summer!

SPRING BREAK 09!

For Spring Break this year we decided to go on a cruise to Mexico! It was definatly worth it and I cannot wait until I can go again!

Monday started out a little rough because it was snowing super hard and it was scary driving to the airport, but we made it! We arrived at the Cruise ship earlier then expected so we ended up playing cards on the sidewalk! When we got onto the ship we ate lunch, and hung out on the deck. I saw a good friend of mine from Star Valley on the cruise so that was super weird, but it was way fun! We just hung around until we went to dinner, but I did not make it through because I got super sick. I learned my lesson and from then on took 2 motion sickness pills!

Tuesday was our day in Catalina! We had decided not to do an excursion so we ended up just walking around and shopping. There were a lot of little shops that were fun to look at and we had a blast looking at things. Of course we had an amazing dinner, and watched a hollywood show on the ship that night which was fun. Our dinner table had 3 couples on it. They were really nice and fun to talk to! There was a younger couple that were 20 that had just gotten married and were on their honeymoon. Then there was a couple in their 30s from AK, and then a couple that got engaged on the cruise for the 2nd time from California. They were really fun! One night at dinner the topic of our religion got brought up. It was interesting to listen to what they had heard, and be able to explain to them a little more. The younger guy from AZ is actually an inactive member, and he said he could tell we were LDS because we were "polite, and had a glow to us" That was really cool to hear from him. They were a super fun couple!

Wednesday we were in Ensenada which was fun in itself! We walked around at first and went shopping which was super fun! I loved it and came back with much more then I needed! I got a purse, some sandals, and a hammock! I then got some little souveniers for my family and friends! We went on an excursion that was a "Mexican Fiesta" It was the stupidest thing that I have ever done! Let me just tell you to SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! It was not worth it at all! They drove us to a ranch up in the mountains and we ate "authentic mexican food" which was disgusting! We then watched some dances and a horchachi band. Then we broke a pinata, and then we left back for town! They dropped us off in the middle of town and we went shopping some more! It was fun to watch everybody and talk the shop owners down! As we were walking back to the ship, a man pulled up in the back of a truck and everything was covered except for his eyes. He was holding a machine gun and staring us down! I was so scared, but it was super fun to be there! That night we watched a magician and comedian! It was way fun!

Thursday was our fun day at sea! We basically just laid out and watched the AZ state students get drunk and act retarded! It was super fun, and I loved just being in the sun! That night at dinner they had a dance and a send off which was way fun!

Friday we got back and got off the ship earlier then expected! We got an earlier flight into Salt Lake and arrived back in Logan to the snow and cold which was not fun! All in all it was an amazing trip and I had a blast hanging out and relaxing for the week!

I know I have been a slacker in my blogging, but I have been super busy! Some of the fun things that have happened is that my brother Jeff and his wife had a new addition to the family!! They had a girl and named her Aubrey Kate Balls! She is the cutest little thing ever! I will post pictures soon! I on the other hand have been up to nothing special, just school, work and more work! It seems like it is all I do, but I guess that is what happens when you grow up (or at least trying to grow up)! But some other bright news is that we leave on our SPRING BREAK CRUISE MONDAY!!! :) Only 4 days and counting! Dont worry I will post pictures of the new baby and of the cruise!

This last weekend me and my little brother went hiking up Hyde Park canyon and shooting my new gun! On the way up we found some clay pigeons that we put on a pallet that we found so we could shoot them! We each took turns shooting our guns and blasting the clay pigeons. It was super fun to shoot my gun, and to hang out with my little brother. Even though we fight sometimes we usually get along and have a lot of fun together as you can tell!

This last week I turned the big 21! It was a great time, even though I did nothing to crazy! I worked for most of the day and then went to dinner with some of my close friends. It was definatly fun! The best part of my birthday was getting my PINK BB GUN! It is a lot of fun and something that I will enjoy! (more pictures of the gun to come) My sweet grandma also came and visited me at work on my birthday. It was really fun to see her there! :)

With the purchase of my new crock pot I figured the best way to celebrate would be to have a party! We invited a few friends over and made Pizza soup. It was delicious and we had a good time! We ended up having the left overs Sunday afternoon with a few boys from the ward. It was a lot of fun! If anybody wants the recipe let me know! :)

Now that finals are over, I have just been working and trying to play when I can! The first weekend off I went with the girls from high school to Temple Square. It was a lot of fun to get out of the valley for a short time and to have some fun with them! It was also great to see my brother and sister-in-laws which was super fun! They are always fun to see and I cannot wait until Christmas to see them all again!

Even though it is finals week next week, me and Ali have found some time to have fun! On Tuesday we went to the Aggie Basketball game and then to an Ugly Sweater party. It was mainly for Christmas sweaters unless, but we saw a lot. We went shopping beforehand at the DI and found some sweaters. I scored an awesome sweater vest for only a whopping 5 dollars that I just might have to wear again!

Wrestling is one of my favorite things to watch, and this year my little brother Connor is wrestling. I was so excited to go and watch the Blue and White and he did a great job! He beat the other kid 9-8 and then won again the next day 4-3 so he is Varsity for Sky View. I can't wait to go to the Duals and some tournaments this year! Great job Connor!

On the 1st I had the opportunity to go hunting with my brothers and dad. It was a lot of fun although all I did was take pictures and walk through the extremely tall grass. Sorry Jake that there are not a lot of you, you were always just on the other side of the hunt.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to go to the tour of So you think you can dance. Yeah it was amazing. I went with some friends from high school and we had a great time! We got to see all of the great dances from the show plus some. I got to see Twitch. . . and yes he is as beautiful in real life as he is on TV. I also got to see my favorite dance. For all of you So you think you can Dance watchers its the one with the door. It was just as good on the tour as on TV. I would so love to see it again!

This weekend was the annual Lotoja bike race for over 1000 people. This was my first year to participate in cheering everybody on including my brother Jake and uncle Mike. It was a very good experience and I look up to anybody willing to try. It turned out to be really rough for each of them and they did not make it to the finish line. But I thank my brother and uncle for the great example that they were to me and giving it a shot. My brother and Mike are one of the hardest working people that I know and it was hard for me to have to watch them not be able to finish. They have been through so much in the last year preparing but I am very proud of them for actually trying.

After a weekend of camping with the family they (the sister-in-laws) have convinced me to start a Blog. But I am not guaranteeing anything. It will mostly consist of photos of the fun activities me and the roommates or family have done.

These first pictures are from this past weekend that I spent camping with the family in Wyoming. It was our annual Labor Day camping and we had a blast.
